Three people — including two children — were hospitalized after being pulled for a house fire in Philly’s Nicetown-Tioga community early Thursday, officials say.
According to officials with the Philadelphia Fire Department, as many as six people were rescued from flames in a home near the intersection of West Erie Avenue and North Sydenham Street after firefighters arrived at the scene at about 1:30 a.m. on Thursday.
Upon arrival, crews immediately worked to rescue six people who were inside the burning three-story home.
Three of the people who were pulled from the fire — a adult and two children — were hospitalized after suffering injuries.
However, officials did not immediately provide details about the severity of their injuries.
Officials said firefighters had the flames brought under control in about 15 minutes.
An investigation is underway to determine what may have started this fire.
